I'm curious which Z06 is it - the C5 (~400 hp) or the C6 (~500 hp plus aluminum frame = lite weight). I'm thinking its the C6 since you mention it is the burnt orange color (didn't come on the C5).

I run them all the time on the street, the 07's and 08's are fast cars. I take them by a fender or more up thru 4th gear, I refuse to race past 4th in my car. The older ones I don't have any trouble with at all. I just don't feel my car is set up for the kind of speed reached after 4th. In all fairness from stop light to stop light my car is a beast, but the 07, 08, Z06's after 140 mph are something. I'd like to drive one past that speed, because I think it would be cool. Of course for an extra 45,000.00 dollars they should handle speeds above 140.

I am making 6.5lbs with the 3.8, so I am thinking right around 10lbs with a 3.4. Yes I think a roll bar may be in the future, but I would love to get kicked out in the meantime.

I can take the C5's now, but this guy is diffently a C6 with at least a tune and a CAI.

I saw a Z06 run 10.89 with just DR's.. They are quicker than you think

Just put a bottle in your car... Beat him and get it out of your system. If this is what is motivating you to go quicker I am worried. There is always someone that is going to be talking trash about Mustang's, Camaro's, Corvette's etc.

Plus the new Z06s are badd azz cars and if I had one I would be talking crap about mustangs too. Of course I would be running it on a road course instead of the drag strip. Awesome car!!
