I thought emblems were part of the car. Isn't that what makes up the car as a whole?

Seriously, there was a post before about the emblem on the trunk lid. Do a search on that and I think they tell you how to take it off. When someone coms on here asking a question like that, it is open season for wisecracks.

They definately come off.... Early in the production runs Ford was putting the wrong emblem on the cars (GT on a V6 or V6 on a GT). people were trading them or talking about the dealership changing them WITHOUT changing trunk lids.

eleanor19, funny you should ask. I recieved my GT with the stock spoiler when I didn't ask for it, therfore they swapped it out for a V6 trunk with out one, needless to say the emblems had to be change. Unfortunatly their a simple plastic double sided taped emblem that will break when you try to take it off so they ended up ordering another GT emblem and installed it.
The funny part of this story is I drove around for a week with that V6 pony on the rear when another proud 05' V6 owner pulled up behind me, then at the next light pulled beside me and apparently didn't notice the GT emblem on the fender. Lets just say the disapointed look on his face at the next light was priceless and I didn't have the heart to tell him. lol
