If i do buy a supercharger i would probably go with the Saleen. I love the way it looks and i liek the fact u can add cold air. Plus if your concerned about keeping your engine then u wont care that the saleen only gives 400 while others give up to 500, which is a lot worse for the car.

Nick you any closer to choosing?

I dont have a clue where we could take them. Just been looking at the Whipple unit (again) and for 5.5k you can have a polished version.. NICE!

There's no good places near me but what about Ripspeed guys up the A1 i now i think they're called xtreme motorsport.. The chav boys go there to turbo charge there escorts and stuff..

just a thought!

Hey there,

I have found someone in Newport Pagnell (within Milton Keynes boundary) - its an ex Aston Martin guy who advertises in the Mustang Owners Club magazine (I am a member). I called him and he can do the job and tuning, etc.

As for which one to go for - do you have any website for the Whipple unit as I couldnt find too much on that one..?

The saleen is still at the top of my list just because its the best for a daily driver and I feel would be best for the engine in the long term....I think you have other cars though so you may want to go a little more aggressive with HP, etc??

Nick

I'm partial to the Whipple kit myself with Saleen running in second.

I just went to that RPM Outlet link that was posted. DOES ANYONE HAVE A COUPON CODE I CAN USE TO GET A DISCOUNT ON THE WHIPPLE KIT FROM THEM???

I called Whipple a couple of weeks ago and they said it would be a couple of months before their kit was available. Is this a pre-order or something?

I have to admit I am coming round to the idea of the Whipple now......I was intending on going for the Saleen but this product looks VERY impressive!!!

So its not been released yet then?

$5k is alot of money, maybe it will be cheaper once released and companies are competing a little more for our business!

Dear Nickbrace,

I have been doing the same kind of research regarding S/C and spoke to a guy with the same 2005 GT as I owwn at a local car show...

He has the Saleen S/C which looks great under the hood of his car...

He told me that if a Ford Dealer installs this unit, it will be warrantied and the car will not lose its warranty... But the installation must be done by Ford...

That sold me completely...

GOD forbid that if I break it (or the car), Ford will still stand up and fix it...

Three year warranty and I purchased an extended warranty package when I bought the car so I am very excited about buying one soon...

Dave

Have you confirmed that with a Ford dealer?
