Angry GTA's went bad..

Thought I was hearing a hanger or clamp rattle, checked it out and it was actually the inside of the driver side muffler.

Had them for about two years.

Anyway, I get to pick new mufflers! Yay!

I'm leaning heavily towards the Edelbrocks. What say ye?

Soundclip:

No one really has them, I wanna be different.

get the stingers
but those edelbrock ones dont sound that bad. you know you are going to get a lot of answers on what to get. the only thing i dont like about the edelbrocks is the stock looking rectangle muffler. to big for me. i like the cylinder ones. smaller and tucked up under the car.

Boomtubes are probably the worst sounding kit I've heard. Makes it sound like a 350Z..

WTF?

I don't know what boomtubes you heard, but the Mac Boomtubes for these cars sound NOTHING like a nissan. It's pure V8 muscle car sound goodness.

350Z...LOL!!!

Sorry but saying boomtubes sound like a 350Z is instant fail.

I guess it's the recording process that fudges the sound. It seems to take out the rasp, or snarl.. Hey, nothing personal, just don't like em.. Thanks for your input, though!

I'm not a fan of the tips on the muffler. They sound okay(nothing special IMO) but the tips just don't do it for me.

Goodluck with choosing new mufflers!

Default GTA quality questionable...

When I first received my GTA's I was suprised at the shoddy quality of the welds not only for the hangers to the body of the mufflers but for the inlet and outlet pipes. When I installed the driver's side muffler, I was under the car and was checking for leaks at the slip-fit connections. All of the sudden, I felt something spitting on me. Turned out it was a huge pinhole in the weld of the inlet pipe to the body of the muffler on the driver's side. I had to take the car to a muffler shop to have them re-mig the weld. I should not have had to do this on a what is supposed to be a $400 muffler system.
