http://www.mustangtuning.com/de1.html i was thinking these 18x9's ... but it says fits 96-04 mustangs so if i find the right 18' tires they should be okay ... ANY SUGGESTions?

dont think i can go wrong with these, they look great on mauiboys car, and mine will be black as well
99-04 have a different offset. Those will stick out further on your '05.
Where did u order yours, there similiar to the ones i am looking for?

Same place... just look at the 2005 wheels: http://mustangtuning.com/2005wheels.html They have several choices.

delurker:
Side view pic? and why do you go with a smaller profile on the rear?

I'll see if I can dig up a side-view pic when I get home from work this afternoon. The smaller ratio on the rear is to compensate for the wider width - 40% of a 285 is pretty much the same as 45% of a 255, so they are almost exactly the same height (both listed as 27").

Gotcha,
Did you go with a bigger rear tire for looks or is it a performance thing?
So much for rotating your tires...

Both. I've got a couple performance mods already (CAI, predator tune, removed intake restriction), a few more waiting to be installed (long tube headers, h-pipe, 4.10 gears), and a few more ordered (throttle body, electric water pump, idler pulleys), so I'm not overly concerned with having too much grip. Hi Richard,

Personally I like the Bullet style wheels best for this car. I was trying to find a set of Minilight/Panasport style wheels like they used to use on the 69-71 Trans-Am racer cars but they cannot be made larger then 17" (and $2,800 a set), so I'm back to Bullets. The only decent 18" Bullets out there are pretty cheap price wise but there are some offering good quality Bullet style wheels on the cheap. IMO Mustang Tunning.com's prices are high and there is no indication of the quality of the wheels or weight. The wheels offered by Crossroadzdirect are JWL AND TUV tested and approved. These wheels are not junk castings that weight 30lbs. each like many of the wheels offered on eBay. The 18"x9" painted Bullets from Crossroadz.com are listed at 20lbs. each. Look here: http://www.crossroadzdirect.com/ click on the 2005 Mustang button on the left side and then go to wheels section. Short of these wheels I'd look into SSR's forged wheels which are VERY strong and lightweight.

HTH

My new mustang should get here in around two weeks and im going to replace the Rims and Wheels to 18'. Anyone have suggestions or thoughts on what rims/wheels i should buy. And how much will new 17' rims and normal tires from the GT mustang get me(as in money).
