Default Charge Motion Question

I have a 2007 Mustang GT, Right now only upgrades are Flowmasters, CAI, and XCAL3 Tuner. Getting ready for 4.10 gears and Road racing suspension. Ive seen Saleen Charge motion plates online and they claim to have better airflow and add anywhere from 15-25 HP. Ive not seen alot in the forums about them. Are they worth the money? I think the economy plates are 157.00, and the upgraded (chrome) are 350.00 Thanks for any help you can give.

They add 5-7hp, you'll lose fuel economy, and probably some low end torque. If you had LT headers and/or a centrifugal supercharger they help more. Unless you can get them very cheap, less than $100; I would recommend some other mods. The billet plates perform exactly the same as the economy plates. The only reason I have them is because I found a great deal on the ones I have. In my opinion, they're best when installed with a UDP at the same time (on a NA motor that is). Between the two, you'll pickup around 10-15hp and the UDP will make up for the loss of low end torque that you might see from the delete plates.

I think you're looking at maybe 5-10 RWHP realistically and I think I'm being optimistic.

I have the FRPP plates (now Steeda) An there was NO loss of torque, NO loss of fuel economy, the car pulled harder in the high RPM's and being they require a tune if you have a good tuner you WILL notice a difference.
