UDP's are they worth it, any probs

There's zero S.O.T.P. power gain, I've yet to get her on a dyno, though. MPG increased very slightly, as in less than 1mpg better. I now get 15.5MPG, TAH-DAH!
But your big concern about overheating was a worry of mine as well. I live in Las Vegas and installed them myself and have had no issues with overheating. The car is my daily driver through rush-hour commute traffic and sees about 15 miles of freeway a month. But from my experiences (fwiw) I wouldn't worry about that block getting too hot.

i installed the steeda udp, and since then basically went through hell... the next day after installing i went on a 4.5 hour road trip... my alt started acting up and affected my sensors on the car...(reset bat, everything was fine) then just today i came back, and about 2.5 hours in, the belt snapped (it was tight) and the car had over heated prior to this

I think this is one of the things you have to file under the "cumulative" category.
You might not notice the 2 or 3 HP difference you'll see from a set of pulleys, but when you add them on top of a few other smaller mods, they add up to a bigger gain as a group.
Personally, I'll never put a set of small diameter pulleys on my car ever again. I think safety is more important than an extra 3 or 4 HP, so I'd rather go with something like an ATI balancer to help keep vibrations under control. The more power you make, the more critical it becomes to keep things spinning smoothly.
With electronics being so good in these cars these days, it's almost a no brainer to add a nitrous kit for when you need a little extra power.
You can run a 75 shot for 150000 miles and never have an issue. It's not a bad deal given you'll probably only spend 3 or 400 bucks for the setup. (A pulley setup is going to be a few hundred anyway.)
This is just my .02, though.

I felt an increase in power. The car also revs up noticably quicker. I think it's worth it $200 if you're staying N/A. Also as far as balancing harmonics, steedas pulleys are developed to be spot on for OEM.
