Default 4.6 Auto, Engine dies when slowing down

Anyone notice the engine RPMs dropping below 4-500 rpms and occasionally dieing while deccelerating in an Auto. Usually right about the time the engine gets warmed up. Even does it with the stock tune.

Did you take the car in for the fuel system TSB? That may be the issue.

Does it die if you put the car in neutral as you slow down?

nope.. that isn't right.. I'd return your car to stock intake/tune and take it into the dealer.. I can't imagine why it would happen on deceleration unless its not getting enough gas to keep it running or maybe something is wrong with your plugs.. the fuel system tsb.. is that the one where you get hesitation? There is a TSB for rough idling and missfire but doesn't mention engine shutting off..

Try cleaning your MAF sensor and throttle body.

Sounds like a problem with the throttle body.

Will TB or injectors throw a code? My SCT doesn't pick up anything ona scan and I checked right after a event. I did restart and drive 6 blocks before reading.

Unmetered air is entering your engine somewhere after the MAF. Check your connection/hoses for a leak, it does not take much to cause the problem. If you want to be certain return it to stock and see if it still occurs.
