Default Front control arm bushings worth the effort

Anybody changed out the stock hydro bushings and found it worth the effort for a DD. Any increase in Noise or harsh ride?

I didn't change out, I put the steeda inserts in. Definitely better. I use the red softer inserts.

How is the ride and did you use the smaller urethane with the clamp on the rear bushing or the larger one that uses the OEM sleeve.

The smaller urathane and clamp set-up and not for DD use.
There is a slight risk factor with failure under extreme loads.
OK for the increased performance/increased risk but for the DD??
Do you really want the increased failure risk?

Im getting ready to install the Steeda bushings from the above link this sunday. Anyone have any more info on the performance ? Anyone here have a failure ? What is the failure concerns mentioned by 157db ? I thought the hydra bushings were more of a risk than anything, (swapped out the hydra motor mounts for prothanes and love them).

Steeda pretty much lays it out in the product description, use red for slightly better then stock with tolerable stiffness and road noise or use black for more precise corners but there will be harsher ride and noise.

I've been running the black inserts for several thousand miles on my DD.

No problems, and I couldn't tell any significant increase in harshness over what I got from all the other suspension mods.

Lets see, steeda does not recommend them for street use.
Race course only. Maybe just a disclaimer.....

The hydra bushings are captured and dont seperate during a failure.
The steedas come apart when they fail...
