Default o2 Sensor Not Ready

Last summer I installed Kooks LT headers w/ High-flo Cats along with a C&L CAI and 93 tune on my 06 GT

Around FEB the check engine light came on and it was assessed to be a bad 02 sensor which was subsequently replaced and the light has yet to come on.

The was was just brought in for NY inspection and it failed due to a reading of "not ready".
The car has been driven 300 miles since the 02 sensor was installed.

The mechanic said the tune might have something to do with it.

Anybody have any ideas?

any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Are the 02 sensors disabled in the tune?

I'm not sure. It was a canned tune from Brenspeed. I emailed them about the issue I was having but havent gotten a reply yet.

The adaptive learning needs to be relearned
before a state emissions test can be performed.
Owners manual under battery repacement.

+1, but to baddger's point as well, if the OP's tune has the rear O2s turned off (and it sounds like most of the tuners do this unless you specifically ask them not to), then they will never show as ready, no matter how long/far you drive it.

Just make sure you get a response back from Brenspeed about the O2s or you may never get them to read anything but "Not Ready".

The rear O2s are off in the Brenspeed tune. You have to get an Emissions tune from him and run the car for 50 miles or so on that tune, before going in for your emissions test.
Had the same issue down in NC.

I live in NY and my car failed last week due to my Breenspeed tune. I took out the jlt CAI, put the original stock airbox back in, de-tuned the car back to stock, drove 100 miles, and am bringing it back in today to get it reinspected. Thats what Dave at breenspeed told me to do if I did not want a new e-mailed tune.

The mechanic is right...it's the tune. I had the same thing when I had my AR headers installed...I also have a C&L CAI and a 93 tune on my 06. My tuner fixed the issue.
The 02 sensor gets moved away from the head when you put on long tubes so the exhaust doesn't heat it up fast enough (it has to be a certain temp to read right). There are heaters in the 02s also. The tuner can adjust the tune to increase the duration of the heaters so the 02 sensors heat up properly...worked for me.
