Default Can you help me out?

I know nothing about building an engine to withstand more horsepower, but i am a horsepower freak, and under 500 horses is not something i will be satisfied with so someone please tell me what what components i need to at least withstand 500 plus horses. Thanks and be specific on parts please and where i can get them.

Do you want that to the wheels? If so your going to need to replace a lot more than you think. From what I've seen about 420 to the wheels is the max you really want to push on stock internals. Maybe I'm too conservative. Strap a supercharger on there, get it tuned and you should be happier.

You can get 500hp, but getting it to the wheels (rwhp) is a different story...
From what you're saying I'm sure you'd be happy getting a supercharger. Trust me that will make it plenty fast

Sorry but i forgot to mention that i meant with a supercharger already installed. I want to boost to at least 15 to 20 lbs without having to worry about anything. So i just need help on what to do to my stock engine. The saleen supershaker is what im getting, but i want to put as much boost as i can knowing my engine can handle it. So please any tips will greatly help.

I know a supercharger will make it fast, but most of them are 4something at the wheels. Im looking for over 500 to the wheels. That is why i need to know what to get for my engine internally.

Forged short block, Ken Bell Mamouth system, clutch upgrades, rear end upgrades such as axles, suspension upgrades, ignition upgrades, etc., etc., etc. Over 500 to the rear wheels is going to cost some money. Murphy's Law will be sitting shotgun with you as well. It can be done though, lots of people have done it. Good luck!!!!

I have a question about the forged shortblock. Should i use my stock block and put forged internals, or do i buy a block already setup with the forged internals?
What would be the difference, besides price obviously?

For the money you are going to spend, you may as well sell yours, get a GT500 and go from there. That way you will already have an engine that will hold the power. You are going to have to change a lot on that car, not just engine parts, to make it handle that kind of power.
