Brenspeed has their stuff together. They offer a handful of supercharger options, and they have technical articles on their site explaining some high-level differences between each system. They also sell complete packages (known as "turn-key") to help you get going right away.

Twin-screw gives you immediate boost whereas centrifugal chargers start making boost after 2500 rpm or so. After that, it's all about the boost level you're running.

hmm well i doubt id be running to high just because i don't want to risk blowing my engine. i guess i would probably go with the tvs set up. one other detail i left out is that i have an automatic so that adds additional limitations from what i've been told

You can make some good power out of an auto with a standard kit... As far as dyno charts of mine as well as others that I have seen, centri's tend to provide more hp over tq, where as a twin screw has slightly more even gains... it still is completely dependent on the tune. and east 87 is right, twin screws are instant boost and centris usually hit later in the rpm band...

from what ive been told with the automatic, its really the torque that will make the transmission suffer... I highly recommend Brenspeed. Im from Maryland (so right above you), and I ended up trailering my car to them to have the work done... and it was completely worth it. Their tunes are designed for optimum power while maintaining a safe level of composure so you dont run into problems with the setup in the future...

yeah brenspeed seems to be the way to go. a few friends around work have suggested them as well. My only fear is losing my transmission, if it goes it gives me a reason to upgrade but the army doesn't pay me enough to do it in the near future lol.

just dont run insane amounts of boost... Im running the stage 3 Saleen package from Brenspeed, which has a 3.4 pulley... which is about 9-9.5 psi... its literally a package designed to provide good gains, as well as keeping the car in an often-driven classification... I wouldnt go above 11 psi, and if you are very worried and arent so much power hungry, stick to the 9 psi range and you still wont be dissappointed...

yeah i didn't plan on going crazy with boost. i figured i might run 15 if i'm at a track and keep it around 10 for a daily driving.
