Buying a Mustang, need advice

Another problem with getting a used V6 is that alot of them used to be rental cars. You know how much abuse they take.
You could get a V8 and add a few bolt ons and some nitrous. It will get you in the 12s and you can drive the car daily and not worry about droping your mileage like you would with a supercharger.
Check out the superchager section of this forum and the nitrous section. Its a decision that is worth taking your time and researching.

I agree with everyone else on if at all possible wait to get a V8. The V6 does have potential but the engine is not as smooth as the current V8. The 3v engine has one several independent awards which reflects how good it really is (smooth, semi torquey, great high rpm pull). The current V6 is very old and if I am correct started life as a truck engine a long time ago.

So you didnt get it from North Country Ford? Hope not..I looked there when I was buying mine late last year and they were really bad in how they treated me...I ended up getting my GT from Ken Grody in Carlsbad. Either way...enjoy!

If I did it again, I'd get a GT500.
By the time I'm done, I'll have put about as much money in my car as just buying a GT500. So if I did it again, I'd go GT500 and have about the same speed car with factory driveability, warranty, and a forged engine that can go way higher in power (600-700rwhp) without heavy modding if I want.
