Unhappy Transmission Problems

Im new here and I wish i could put a post up about something happy like getting my new leather interior or doing something great to my stang, but sadly tonight when i went to start my car and put it in reverse it would not go into gear. I have an auto trans and it took a good number of tries for me to finally put it into reverse. It wouldnt go into any gear but it sounded fine and it would rev like the clutch wasnt engaged or something. I really hope i wont have to get a new transmission and i would check the fluid but i have to do a car-swap tomorrow morning to get mine into my garage on level ground. Anyone else have this problem or know what im talking about?

Thanks guys

So, just want to verify, you have reverse but no forward gears?

Manual tranny... Doesn't sound good. Hopefully just the shifter/linkage. Best of luck. Let us know the outcome.

Hmm, if you have an auto with a clutch, that might be your problem. lol!

Perhaps the linkage down at the trans broke. Or perhaps you have a trans leak and don't know it and you're super low on fluid. The bad thing is these 5R55S autos do not have a trans dip-stick, so checking the fluid is a PITA and not really something everyone can easily do.

You might want to have Ford come pick it up.

Opps. My bad. I saw "...clutch..." and went from there. I gotta learn to read...
