I had the Hurst. Changed to the MGW. Best shifter out there.

MGW and Pro 5.0 are the way to go IMHO

I have a MGW and have driven the 5.0 - both are excellent, i went MGW as I found a deal on it first.

Had a Steeda Sport... better then stock.... but the above are better

I also recently swapped from a Hurst to an MGW. I loved the Hurst and still think its a good shifter, but comparing the MGW to the Hurst is like comparing the Hurst to the stocker. No regrets here.

Do a search for posts by me, and you'll see a thread where I give some measurements on throw lengths and whatnot and how they compare to the hursts

I had the Tri-ax and just liked the MGW better...the feel and the short and buttery smooth shifts were what won me over!

I'm considering the same move. I love my Hurst, but it is impossible to make it quiet. The rattling is driving me nuts. What does the 5.0 generally cost new?

I have driven Mustangs for the past 30 years with just about all brands of shifters, they are all better than stock......... from now on I will always replace the stock shifter with an MGW when I buy the car.
It took two people two hours to install..........a breeze.
