Default SCT or Diablo

long story short I have a Diblosport handheld, a XCal 2 handheld as well as a SCT 4 bank 4 program chip. what would you guys think would be the better one to go with and why?

the chip may take a back seat for sole reason of having to keep taking it out to get reprogramed if I had to.

what is the big diff between the Diablo and SCT? popularity?

Dean

Most major shops program their tunes for SCT.

Both are good, but, you can't get a Brenspeed tune if you have a Diablo Sport Tuner.

my brother got his vortech sc and the sct(how i got it) from modular powerhouse.

when we went to get the car dyno'd to be safe on the tune, it was suprisingly very well done and didnt need much tweeking.

not putting Brenspeed down, just never heard of them is all. Talked to a guy by email named Chandler. said $75 for 1 tune and $125 for 3 with about 15-20hp on performance tune. i havent heard of such gains on a stock car from only a tune.

i have an 04 GT CAI via the fender and as far as i know only rear 2 cats replaced with straight pipe(bought the car this way)

Brenspeed is one of the largest Mustang shops if you factor in online sales as well.
I would swear by them and their customer service, and so would most of MustangForums. There are multiple reliable tuners out there though, such as Bama and VMP.

The 05 GT engine is more modern and much more responsive to mods. A 15 RWHP gain isn't an exaggeration for a decent tune, and a 25+ RWHP gain isn't uncommon for an intake/tune.

Either one will work fine for most mildly modified cars. Make sure the tuner knows whats up if you are going to add boost. The best would be to see what your local dyno tuner uses and buy that.

Most tuners use SCT as their main tuner though.

Most if not all tuners that offer email tunes tune for the SCT. The only two that I know that offer email tunes for the diablo are bamachips and brooksspeed, but it seems a lot of tuners here in So cal prefer to tune with the diablo.

I would not make a descion on either and ask the tuner which they prefer. Some tuners do both, some only do one or the other.

Some like to datalog with the SCT or Diablo and tune with the other. It's all a matter of preference from the person tuning.
