Sucessful plug change...
So I bought some Brisk plugs for my 06 Gt has a procharger on it so I wanted a good plug. So I read about all the trouble people having with breaking off so I wanted to get them out. I started off with some penetrating oil on the plugs and let them sit for a lit bit then was going to back them out lit at a time but I got no sticking and no noise coming out so I backed it all the way out. What did I find in there? A one piece Autolite HTO..So was I upset that I spent 150 on new plugs...Not really at least now I know what is in there.. I bought the car used about two months ago so I didn't know what all the guy had done...I'm glad he was the one to fight the old plugs...Just thought I would share a lit good news that I had. Now time to go have put on a dyno and have tuned...but he said he did that too but I want to see myself...
The autolites are a 2 piece plug. The only 1 piece plugs out there (correct me if I'm wrong) are the Champions and the Brisk plugs. I bet they were put in not too long ago and that's why they came out pretty easy.
Someone on here told me to gap to .032 ...well not so good so far...i put in lastnight and run fine, then I drove to work today and started skipping and check engine light come on...so I took and had code read and there was a misfire on plug 8...so got home and pulled plug and the electrode was loose..You shake it and it moves in and out...I called Brisk and they are sending a replacement.
Good job with the bad luck plug.
