Default Worth the install/removal?

Hot Rod cams
steeda economy delete plates
steeda under drive pullies

I am doing the installation myself. Taking them off in 2012 for Emissions testing (I have a new 08) Just need an extra kick for now until boost comes.

Cams - I don't know.

CMCV - did it myself in 5 hours using TacoBill's tutorial. If even I, who am a computer technician/domain admin could do it, I believe so can you.

UDP - I had a shop install it, but I was guiding them through the process. Took them 1/2 hr removing the radiator fan, and air intake. 1 hr replacing the pullies with an impact gun.

Of that list, from easiest to hardest would be: CMCV -> UDP's -> Cams

lol hey cool.. we have exactly the same car... auto even.

(-;

I might as well get the mods done this spring, with the addition of DRs on 17s.

and Yes

P.S. the CMCV's take 1.5hrs max if you're good with your hands.

cool.

The reason I ask is because I am only gonna have these mods until 2012 at the most, at that time I will have an E-force or Whipple H.O. and these mods will have to be replaced anyways (possibly aside from the CAMS)

That and the IM test in '12.

My plan is to bring it back to stock, get the IM sticker, go back and install everything and not worry again for another 4 years.

so are you going to take the blower off every 4 years? if so I would go ahead and add all that so that you can get used to working under the hood. I did my cams first before doing the cmdps and that made having the courage to do the delete plates real easy. it only took me an hour to do them the first time and 20mins the second time ( took them off to paint them ). now the cams is a different story, having never changed the cams on an OHC motor and not having the special ford tools it took 24 hours to do, lots of stopping and looking up write ups online, running to parts stores to find **** we broke, drinking a beer ( or a couple of cases ), and telling my wife "yes its supposed to look like that, just a few more hours and the car will be up and running". I think with the proper tools and knowing that we spent a lot of time over complicating things it would be a 4-5 hour job at most.

^^ noice.. must have been nice when you first cranked her up and heard the sweet lope on those CAMS, eh? Your wife must have been like.. "is it supposed to sound so.. rough?" lol, they must sound insane with a pair of exhaust cut outs.

...

I am working towards being a Ford tech right now, so hopefully I'll know the ropes enough to the point where I have connections on how to legally pass the IM test without so much labor under the hood lol. The CAMS and Blower would be a pretty sweet set up, not sure how the stock internals would like it though...

I showed her every video on YouTube of different cars with the cams before buying them so she knew what to expect.

I've been tempted several times to take my glasspacks off and go back to just turn downs after the x-pipe just hear how loud and crazy it would sound. Might do it here in three weeks when I get my next day off and post a vid.

Good luck on your build.

thanks. I can't wait til spring to get the CAMs done.. honestly though, I am getting help from my instructor whom is a 35 year Ford tech (though he really dosen't approve of extensively modding a street car), so I can't take all the credit lol.

I have cut outs right now and they are simply thunderous.. I'd imagine that with the CAMS, they'll be down right menacing on the streets lol.
