I've got 10(ish) grand to spend...here's my thoughts, now I need yours!!
Ok, I have a 2009 Ford Mustang GT. I used to have a 2006 stang GT, but about four months ago, I got a 2009 for dirt cheap. Anywho, the wife says I can spend $10,000 or so on the stang, so here's what I thought I would do.
Currently I have a BBK Off-Road X-Pipe and dual magnaflow exhaust setup. I also have a Steeda CAI with a bama 91 octane (highest octane available in my area) race tune. I know my CAI will be null because of the supercharger I'm thinking about adding. So, here goes my list...
Ford Racing Throttle Body $559 from Brenspeed (I'll do install)
Paxton Supercharger set-up from Brenspeed $3,600 (they take $300 off the price if I have my own SCT flash tuner) plus $650 for their install.
Ford Racing Cams $779 (not sure how much to install these...maybe $350??)
BBK Longtube Headers $469 (again, not sure about installation cost)
Ford Racing 4:10 gears $164 plus $300 to install
Hurst Short-Throw Shifter $250 (I'll do install)
C&L Intake Manifold $799 (I'll do install)
I have Steeda Underdrive pulleys also, but I haven't installed them yet. ($200 for install).
As far as my calculations go, I've got a little over $8,000 spent. I'm planning on spending the $2,000 or $3,000 on a new hood, painted window louvers, window tinting and maybe a navigation unit. So, add to it my list...take away some items, gimme all your input. I really want to spend this money wisely!! Also, how much horsepower do you all think I can get with my list?? How much is to much without upgrading the internals of the engine and etc.?

Why the Paxton? I think if you have that much money to put into it I'd go with either the E force supercharger (6k) or the Hellions Turbo (5k). That decision will have to go with what you plan on using it for.
I would then add a snow water-methanol injector and bring your octane up from 91 (thats what i have to deal with too.) That will run you about $600.
If you go with the turbo, you will not need/want the long tubes so you wont be spending money there. Go with whatever cams work best with the type of induction you end up with.
Don't go with a 4.10 gear. Too steep for s/c or turbo. A 3.73 may work best here, same price as the 4.10's.
From what i hear most people like the MGW shifter ($300) better than the hurst. Pretty much just preference there.
I haven't hear much good from people to spend $800 on the C&L intake. Ford Racing is also coming out with a new intake which is supposed to be around $600, but I would wait and see how it turns out by letting other people buy it and try it out first.
I have heard that you do not want the under drive pulleys with a S/C due to belt slippage so you may want to skip out on that.
Supposedly the limit on the stock bottom end is about 450 to 460, however a friend of mine is pushing 490 on his stock bottom end, we'll see how long the engine lasts. It's alot of money down the drain if it blows.
If you have that much money right now and plan on going past 450, might as well just upgrade that bottom end now and wait for the S/C or turbo, do it right from the get go. Upgrade to a 5.0 stroker kit maybe.
Don't forget to upgrade your wheels so that you can get wider/better tires. Don't know what your rolling on now. Slap some 275's or 285's on the back. All that power won't do anything if you cant hold it to the ground.

$6,000 = E-Force Stage 1 from Brenspeed
$1,500 = New Take Off GT500 rims/tires
$1,000 = Upper/Lower Control Arms, Relocation Brackets, Panhard bar, 3.73 gears
$300 = MGW Short Throw
Then figure about $1,500 for the installation of the goodies. That is just over $10k in money for 1 super badass Mustang.
Sell the UDP's, and nix the CAI & longtubes for now IMO. The list above will put you about 440-450 RWHP, and you'll have the traction to actually be able to use it.

I'd go whipple HO intercooled anytime over a Paxton. But there is a domino effect I have discovered at my own expense: need fatter tires (i went with goodyear F1 supercar, they rock) otherwise your torque is just good for spinning wheels or getting off road when it rains. You then need better brakes as slowing repeatedly from 100+ to legal speed limit is best done with good and safe brakes. And last, you need better sway bars and shocks. It will exceed 10G (but you don't have to do it all at once), but what a car you get after these mods.
