Default Jack Stands Under Front of Car

This afternoon, I am going to install a set of Pypes O/R H-Pipes. I have already driven the car on ramps, but I am not able to get underneath it enough to get to the header bolts. I have a set of jack stands that I think I will use to raise the car higher. My question is where to position these unde the front of the car?? I think my stands will raise to a height of around 16" at their highest setting and my ramps are only about 6-8" of raise. If anyone has photos of the place where they positioned their stands, I would greatly appreciate that.

TIA,
Zach

thats not right...... your jack stands are sideways, they have the cup shape up top to hold the car from slipping off....

you're welcome. heavy duty jack stands
are cheap and you can never be to
careful, when it comes to working
under the car.

yeah unfortunately i had to break out the
nice clean jack stands just a couple of weeks
ago, to remove my che brace w/torque limiters.
i've had it off since the clutch job but decided
to try them out and there's just to much rattling
between the TOB and the clutch diaphram....oh
well, another part to mothball.

Not a lot Hammer, riding season is nearly over and I'm making my daily trek through here looking for a set of hi flow cats. School is killin me, I suck at Math!
Other than that I'm still putting the 93 octane through the GT and so far so good. 32K and loving it.
The local dealer has a sky blue GT500 sitting on the lot facing the highway and man does the front of that thing look nasty

Hope you and your hot rod are well.
