Just installed Hurst Short Shifter in 06 GT

Do it yourself. It can be a bit of a pain to get it down through the cutout, but it will go if done right. Also, in the printing of the instructions I got, there's a contradiction about which way the shifter offset should be. If you have any doubts, when the shifter handle is installed the arm, it should lean backwards, not forwards.

How do the Steeda shifters compare to the Hurst and MGW? They make some pretty bold claims in their description of the product....
