Vortech V-3

Vortech V-3
Well, so I went ahead and did it: Bought my HO V-3 yesterday.
Anyway, my dream for about ten years now has been a 500hp supercharged Mustang GT (at the motor, so about 425 to the wheels?) with street manners that I can take on road trips, etc. For MONTHS I've asked everyone I could (and been all over the most used forums) trying to figure out whether our motors can handle that power, and apparently yes they can as long as you learn how to drive with that power and are not abusing it at EVERY corner and straightaway.
In the last week, I've gotten pretty meticulous in my setup (why not, it's an investment, right?). So, on top of the standard polished HO V-3, I also bought the 8-rib 2.95" pulley to help me get to 500 with a good tune and my current exhaust setup (Springfield Motorsports of northern VA is doing the install/tune).
I went searching and couldn't really find threads on 05-06 GT's running HO V-3's on stock internals with 500 motor hp and an "upped" pulley.
Has anyone experienced ANY problems with the 2.95" pulley at about 425rwhp on a stock motor? Or any belt slippage issues regardless of the pulley size?
Thanks in advance.
Man, I'm frickin' excited.

you should have no problems getting the 425 rwh out of that kit as a matter of fact you may have to tune it down b/c your probly gonna be over the 425 mark youll be very happy with the vortech they are very reliable centris and i can almost guarantee you you will want more power later on down the road lol

As you can see I have 500 at the wheel on a stock engine. So far no problem after 18K miles on it, but i did encountered the need for three upgrades:
- belt tensioner as I was getting slippage
- Centerforce clutch as I was still getting slippage
- Goodyear Supercar tires 285 at the rear, to help transmit all that torque
It is a major improvement, but I still have problems getting all that power to the ground.

I had the Vortech HO S/C (V2) on my car for several years and it was really a great supercharger....no issues with anything. It was putting down 425rwhp/404rwtq @ 8.11psi (numbers from a Mustang Dyno) with a conservative tune.
