Default Supercharging a 07 GT - what gear ration ?

Hi guys,

I'm installing the Ati Stage II Procharger on my 07 GT at 10 psi, so about 400+ rwhp. What gear ration should I go with, drag orientated ?
Also, what oil do you use for the engine with a supercharger setup ?

thanks,

I would go with 4.10's. i was making 442 whp and loved my 4.10's and i have a twinscrew. As for oil you want to use a full synthetic, i use redline.

I agree...if you are going centrifugal, then 4.10's make the most sense. If twin screw, tvs or roots, then 3.55 or 3.73 gears. If turbo then you're talking 3.31 or 3.55's.

4.10's or 3.73's at least
synthetic 5w30, but shouldn't matter too much as long as you change it in regular intervals.

Everyone will mostly say 4:10 but my 3:55s were perfect when I had my paxton 2200. I was puitting down 430. For the daily driver it was fun! Even with 3:55s I would get sick of the ocasional spin in 1st and 2nd. But if you like breaking your tires loose go with 3.73 or higher. I have eibach lowering springs, steeda shocks and stuts, bmr lcas and nitto 555s 274/40/18.

my friend has a vortech and he likes his 4,.10s to build boost quicker and make up for the lack of tq the centri sc make. when the saleen goes on, i will try it with my 4.10s but will most likely switch to 3.73s.

I'm sticking with my 3.55's on my Kenne Bell. running a centrifugal I would think the 4.10's would be best to help keep the rev's up. personally I like the 3.55's to keep the revs down on the highway for longer trips. my buddy had an 04 GT with 3.73's on a KB with 425whp and that was pretty nice, any higher and you would just be shifting like crazy.

What would be the top speed penalty loos with a 3.73 compared to the original ?

Also what spark plugs should I go with the supercharger ? One step colder iridium IX ?

Any other mods that you would recomand going with the supercharger ?

My list is:

- long headers, full 2.5" exhaust
- 3.73 gears
- ati procharger stage 2
- lowering springs - What brand should I go with: Ford Racing or Eibach or H&R ?. Do you know if the Eibach drag kit drops the suspensions or it sits as high as stock ?
- 18x10 rear wheels.

I have 4.10s with my Saleen Twin Screw, feels like a perfect fit. A lot of people recommended both 3.73 and 4.10, and even 3.93, but I ended up pushing for the 4.10s. I think I made the right decision.
