Imkman, I was in the same position as you a month ago. How much more, and will it make a difference. I went with the MGW, and got a custom shifter ball made up. Omg, what a blast. Quick, clean, smooth shifts. Going from 2nd to 3rd, just push forward as fast as you can. It just lines right up and in. I already forgot how much I spent. It is funny that happens when it is a good mod. It is the crappy mods that you can never forget, or you keep asking yourself, well if I had just spent a few more dollars. Good luck with your decision!

IMO either stay stock or go MGW.
How does feel of the MGW compare to the Hurst billet?

I had a Hurst billet for about an hour. I couldn't take the rattling. It looked at felt GREAT though. Loved everything about it except that damn rattle. The shop (which has done plenty of these) spent more time trying to adjust/fix it than I spent driving it. It was AWFUL. Had to have been defective. Love the stiff slightly notch feel of it though.

Drive a Mustang with an MGW, you'll know the answer.

Pretty much any shifter is gonna be better than the stock one. I have a Steeda Tri-Ax, and it is notchy but, like stated above, it finds the gears every time. I've heard that Hurst and MGW are also very good shifters. If I were to do it over again, I would probably go MGW if nothing but it being different than the Steeda Tri-Ax.
