anyone have any dyno numbers to show on these mods? I see 5-10hp a piece to the wheels in anecdotal evidence, but haven't seen numbers anywhere from a dyno. The pulley looks like something I can do in my driveway, and am interested in seeing the benefit.

Regarding the tune I know that brenspeed at least doesn't make any allowance for ethanol or lack thereof. The 91 tune is the 91 tune. Period.

Regarding the UDP gains they are proven - leastways dyno proven anyway. I've read articles in MM&FF and also out here on the web that show it.

I choose the JLT carbon fiber because: My wife prefered the "look" of the Jlt and I didn't feel the sound induction tube was necessary.

I will look into the difference in dyno tuning with or without ethanol and report back on my findings. If there is a tuning difference I'll be sure to add one that allows for ethanol. I am attempting to stay away from it as much as possible. Thanks for the heads up.

As far as long tubes/mid-pipe/cams/delete plugs/TB/P&P etc vs SC they will have to wait for now...........but they (NA or SC one or the other) will come in the future.

Suspension and show are next.

Project cars are fun but expensive and never ending.......

Enjoy and ride on.......

Default Total Package

Franz 2010 one thing in it self is not the magic bullet.
In my years think total package example are you going to stay N/A ??
Or are you going big time and a Super Charged Corvette killer is your future?
If you buy something now it may not work with future mods. I just don't like seeing hard earned money be flushed down ebay or a local swap meet.
L/T headers works with N/A or SC motors the 3:73 gears are great all around I run them on my N/A and seem to be the gear of choice with the SC Stangs.
The UDP's may not be compadible with a SC set up and the Delete Plugs well that and the intake are gone with a Saleen or Whipple as they have a new intake any way.I have a 2006 GT and it's great N/A UDP's BBK, Metco Idler wheels, JLT CAI Brenspeed tune, 3:73 Ford Racing Gears,Detroit Rocker Cams,
BMR Suspension parts and UMI Suspension parts, Pypes Exhaust and it screams. But my objective was a N/A set up 345 at the wheel I was shooting for 350?? Need to drop the money and let the guys over at Brenspeed Dyno tune the thing and I will meet my goal. Nice pick on the JLT Carbon CAI!

T.Wayne:

Thanks for the advice. I plan to stay with the current motor mods listed and concentrate on suspension and appearance next.

As far as future motor mods they are probably 2 years or more down the road.....of course you never know for sure as the mod bug bites you in the @$$....I would like to stay N/A and pull 350 hp but todays cars really seem to wake up to FI and in particular the SC (some of my current mods will not support the SC but will work in N/A car). Only time will tell but truth be told I would love to see kooks headers and x-pipe, pro comp cams, delete plugs, 1 piece alum. drive shaft, bbk, P&P. I love the sound and driving manners of a N/A car.

Thanks again!!!

Default UMI

Hey no problem if suspension is your next step PA. has a nice company UMI and they have good prices. 1 thing we live in the Mid West I have seen allot of cars get damaged after lowering them. The past Winter as you know was harsh and the POT HOLES! 1 week ago watched a spoiler get sheared off the ride was lowered and the surface on the road yielded chunks of pavement poor car hit the hole and the rest is history! UMI makes straight line parts
mainly the LCA's if this is going to be a true GT "GRAND TOURING" poly bushings with a grease fitting is the way to go. The spherical bearing can be harsh in a down shift and taking a corner. Steeda with poly or BMR with poly
UMI's Panhard Bar are nice and save U $$. The grease issue is next if you read all these maint. bullets they say use a Silicone based PolyUrethane based lube. Mobile 1 synthetic is the ticket don't use lithium based or standard automotive grease. Make sure you have a grease gun with a flex hose and you be fine!

T.Wayne,

Thanks again for your helpful hints. I will certainly take everything you have said into consideration. I enjoy "building" the car almost as much s I enjoy driving it.

The roads here in PA certainly aren't anything to brag about so I will have to take that into consideration when determining how low I want to go.....

Thanks again....and I have had other recommmendations toward the UMI LCA's.

Default See JD's comments

Franz'o no problem see JD's bullets on Wheel Hop post were made in past 2 days. I know I stated spherical can be harsh what I mean is simple difffernt ends for different applications. Know your app pick on your needs and all will be well!
