New Brenspeed Detroit Rocker Cams installed
I felt bad that I hijacked Slidai's thread so I made a new thread. I got the cams and Pypes headers/ catted H-pipe installed at Brenspeed 5/3/10. I had mac mufflers on the car but it was so freaking loud after the exhaust work I went back to the stock mufflers for the forseeable future. It did sound kinda wicked though. At idle it sounded like a John Deere Model A and like a Fuel Altered coming away from a light - not very stealthy at all.

I love the sound.
I wish I lived near Brenspeed's shop lol.
I would like to do cams but I dunno who in the hell I would get to do them around here.
I'd take it anywhere as far west as Lubbock to as far east as DFW. Just dunno who I could trust.

nice ! i cant wait, im ordering mine thursday or friday ...damn i wish i could hear it without those mufflers , cause with my exhaust system it should be real lope loud and im gonna set idle to 500 rpms!! i will def post vids as soon as i get the in! they sound good with the mufflers though

LOL! I doubt your tuner will even allow that. I know when I was having idle bouncing issues (turns out it was from a VERY dirty TB) when it would drop to 500 that car was right on the verge of dying and the throttle response was whack. So I dunno about 500.
With my new AM tune from Chris Rose I set the idle to 725 (the default is 775) it's very lopey and shakes real good. The drive-ability there is also perfect so for me, I think 725-750 are the best idle settings for sound/feel/keeping the engine running.

sounds great!!! im getting mine hopefully next month. unfortunately it will be with stock exhaust. But im gonna go to the track and see how i do. I have cai=93 tune from brenspeed with 410's and ran 13.6 so hopefully i see some gains. then when i get the new exhaust i will go back and see how she does with everything.

With the automatic I'm limited as far as how low the RPMs will go and actually keep running. Neutral RPMs are set at 725 and drive are at 800.
