New owner here with issues
Just purchased a 06 GT with 90k miles on the clock. Today I went through checking things and noticed no air filter, So I put the filter in and got on the road, first thing that happened was the check engine light came on.
Second issue is filled her up and started to smell gas on the driver side. I don't see any leaks on the ground. Thought maybe it was the gas cap, changed it still got the issue, any suggestions. I hear the filter is on the driver side.

90k is at the recommended fuel filter change interval. Whomever owned the car previously may have installed the new filter incorrectly and sprayed the gas over the protective cover that holds it down or failed to reattach the fuel line. Get under the car and look for a black plastic housing directly under the driver side door, and inspect for leaks. As far as the filter, it sounds like maybe the car was tuned for no filter, or someone had a cai and put the stock on without a filter to avoid pulling a code.
That is what I thought could be the reason on the check engine light, I am getting ready to check the computer diagnostic so I will let you guys know.
I am getting ready to go underneath and check the gas filter, see if that is it, I can't imagine it would be anything different becasude the smell is on the drivers side. and not the exhaust.
I'll keep you guys updated.
Thanks

Here is the code I got, I guess that means its not the air filter issue but some kind of fuel issue, hence the gas smell. Any suggestions guys.
Could it be a tune that is to rich for having a factory air filter in.

How can I reset to the factory tune? is there a way to do this with out a tuner?
Well, we're making an assumption right now that you don't have the stock tune.
Assuming that is true, you have two choices:
1. Pay the dealer to flash it to stock.
2. Buy a tuner and install a good tune that is made for an air filter.
I recommend the second . . .
