Tint Ticket!

I recently got a doctor's note for window tinting. Haven't tinted yet, but plan on doing 15% all around and maybe like 55% windshield. No medical problems, but I got the note anyways

In Cali the Dr. note is only good for a "temporary sunscreening device", people confuse that with thinking they can put tint on their windows.
Also, if you get a tint ticket and don't fix it (in Cali) you can get a failure to correct citation with is a moving violation (like speeding) and 2 points on you records. Speed/red light tickets are only 1 point.

55% windshield...Dr's note or or not....you're going to get stopped a lot. It's an officer safety issue. So you're going to lie to every officer that stops you...sooner than later, someone is going to check into the validity of the note or just discount the note as BS. You might even encounter a hard nose that will hook you up to a wrecker on the spot...lol

Well lucky for me, I don't live in your state.
I printed off the Maryland State Code, the section in regards to vehicular window tint, and more specifically, the exceptions made for persons with medical reasons. I keep it along with my note in the glove box.

On Maui the tint ticket is horrendous, $200 per window!! Even those little quarter windows are $200 each. The tint shops that will put the dark stuff on make you pay in cash and no receipt no warranty. Makes me wonder why my quarter window covers are legal but if I tinted them dark, they would not be. LOL
keep seeing people saying the have doctor notes. What exactly do you have to have and go through to get one?
Just remember the note will not keep you from being pulled over. The note will not stop you from getting a ticket for the tint. The note might actually precipitate the tint ticket and provoke the officer into performing an additional thorough vehicle inspection. If the officer is a trained traffic specialist, you could be on the side of the road for a very long time.
