Default TPS Repacement

The codes 2106 and 2135 are popping up frequently. Limp mode, then cleared codes with tuner.

Anything special I need to know about changing the TPS. Do I disconnect the battery first?
I'm not sure exactly what part # I need to order, is the DY1116 correct?

Please help, its driving me crazy, Limp mode is no fun.

The TBS states the factory should replace the part and retune the car. Im running a higher octane tune from diablosport. The problem happened before I tuned my car. Am I ok at just replacing the part without a factory retune from the dealership?

If your car is still under 36k factory warranty or under the extended warranty, take the diablosport tune out, put the factory tune back in it and take it to the dealer. To my understanding, they won't be able to tell if it was tuned or not, they will only be able to see that the factory tune was reset, you can tell them you disconnected the battery for some reason.

I had the same exact problem about a year ago, my PCM went bad, the dealer replaced it, but gave me crap about the tune, then my TPS went bad, took it back, replaced the TPS, entire TB and said they were done working on it....lol.

...having all that been said, if you plan on doing it yourself, I can't offer any help.

You could replace the whole TB, that way it would already be calibrated. I have a stock one from my 2008 for sale if you are looking.
