I just started having a bad problem with my mustang. Very rarely it will start stuttering and idleing very rough. It will not respond at all to the throttle. If I just let it sit there for 20 seconds or so it will fix it self. It has done this 3 times in the past at the EXACT same spot in my drive to work roughly 4 blocks from my house. This morning though it almost got me ran over. I started the problem JUST as I pulled out onto a busy cross street. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
I am guessing here. Possible vapor lock with the fuel? Clean your throttle body, it could be all gunked up. If you don't have an oil seperator installed you are getting lots of oil blown into your intake.
Have you ever had the Fuel Pump TSB done? There was an issue with the fuel pumps, typically after long drives.. could be your issue. If possible I'd try to take it in and get it replaced anyways!
How about knowing what he has done to his car before we all start throwing wild guesses at what's wrong?
OP-POST YOUR MODS!
That's exactly what I was about to post.
Except it was going to be in the form of asking him instead of the form you put it in.
lol.
Well said sir.
Oh yeah... OP... also post any TSB work you have brought your car in to get taken care of.
That way people can strike out the TSB's you've had done as a not likely prob.

I'm leaning towards cold idle circuit in your tune. Mine car has similar issues (not near as drastic) in first gear when the car is cold, when it reaches operating temps she's right as rain.
