Default Ford Racing 4.6 3V intake question.

How big a deal is it to swap from the stock GT intake to this intake? What type of HP gains can I expect if I swapped?

If you're a DIYer the swap should take no more then 1.5hrs. As for power gains if you don't have cams or cylinder heads you will get none.

Thanks, budget for cams, heads, labor, etc are not there yet. Guess that that will wait.

It was just a engine dyno, it produced 430 hp. Take the drivetrain loss away and see what you have. Still it is a nice intake and Im looking into that plus hotrod cams, Keeping the 3V mostly FRPP would be cool.

This year I added FRPP Hot Rod cams, FRPP throttle body and Kooks LT's to my 2007 GT , gained 30 r.w.h.p. on top of a C&L CAI and Steeda UDP's.

Added the new FRPP intake and gained an additional 18 r.w.h.p.

Went from 3.73's to 4.10's and I am really pleased with the results. Should have skipped the 3.73's and gone straight to 4.10's.

Very pleased with the above mods. All the work was done at Alternative Auto in Metro Detroit, IMHO a GREAT place.

no way would i pay the money for this intake when all its really doing is getting rid of the cmcv plates...i'd either go headers or cams for the same price

how about cams plus the intake, sounds like a combination of **** to me. Im still biased on headers, I will not put them on unless I have a blower set up making over 500RWHP. Just my opinion of course.

or just go with cams and delete plates...you're gonna get same results with less money
