I don't know why Eric Brooks told me that I really didn't even need an email tune for the cams. While I was waiting for American Muscle to send me a revised tune, I ran Eric's tune. The car seemed to run okay.

That's what I was thinking. The car does seem to have more power up top. But I still would have thought that I would have gained a little in the 1/8. Most if not all the time time while racing the car is about 4K RPMS.

When I originally had my cams installed I had the shop do a Dyno tune. But I have since gone with a Brenspeed and BAMA e-mail tune and have had no issues with either. I have the Stage 2 which require springs and it wont run with the stock tune at all. Overall I am pleased but I do think you lose some power down low in the RPMs but once they start climbing all hell breaks lose. Also think the long tubes helped but I dont do 1/4 mile so I dont have any data to back it up.. I am into the curves.. I do like the sound of the Comp Cams compared to the Hot Rods it is a nice rumble... not sure what to call the sound it makes at WOT but know it makes me grin.

Dyno tune will be better, but I doubt it would be A LOT better.

Dyno tune and a 1/4 mile track would probably be a much better indication

Next month I will plan on running the 1/4 mile. So far my best 1/4 mile time is 13.49 but that was with a D/A of 3200'.

I talked to ST motorsports. I believe it was Dan that I talked to . He suggested to run the car in the 1/4 mile first and see if my times improve before getting it dyno tuned. He said I probablly wouldn't notice too much in the 1/8 but it should make a difference in the 1/4
