I have something to share with you guys...

My brother has been in the market for about a year looking for a new car ( Charger, 06-09 Mustang, Infiniti g35 )

I myself strongly pushed him to put the Mustang #1 on his list. But a GT most definetly.
So anyway, we visited about 4 dealerships and nothing price and mileage wise was attractive until we reached a Ford Dealership. We seen 3 old bodies, and 1 was a Black 2006 Mustang GT 4.6L V8 with 20,000 MILES, leather seats,fog lights, spoiler, stock rims /wheels. We are planning on trading in our 2002 Impala with 160k miles into any deal we make. So we ask the pricing and he tells us 17k, but then when the discussion gets more intimate , (trading impala/price range) it got better. They were realllly pushy to make a deal tonight, so the first offer he made us was 18,200 out the door. Then we talk more it goes to 16,200 ! But it's hard to pull the triigger like that without weighing options and getting info. Then he drops it to 15,900.....but even that was still hard. So we are gaining info, etc to see if this is a deal to make . (KBB has it 22,000). My bro would want to modd it of course from what it is ex: Stripes, rims, air intake, exhaust. So my question is what do you guys think of this offer.? And how would it accomadate after purchase pricing wise with more modifications.>?

i paid 19k out the door so yea, good deal if you ask me...i have a 2006 premium gt as you can see in my sig...go for it! he won't regret it!

Im sorry if i sound somewhat of a rookie, but i am trying to advance my knowledge. Once you say premium, are you meaning it has the total package as for interior and or accesories... How much did you pay or work on for the extra mods such as stripes etc

$15-16k on a mostly stock '06 in very good condition is a fair deal if you're in the Chicago metro area. If you're more rural, I'd try to get him into the $13k-$14k range. I bought an '06 V6 Pony, mint with 9600 miles, from a Ford dealership in April 09 for $13.5k. With the '10s and '11s on the lot, they're anxious to sell the older ones.

Oh alright thanks for that info Nuke, yeah we live around 40 minutes away from the city,...But i/we would rather get one for that price withat least a couple things modded onto it, you know..(Rims, stripes, tints).

premium is a GT with leather interior for the most part...the stripes were seperate...the "chrome" parts in the interior are the difference between a GT deluxe and a GT Premium(look at pics in link)...also comes with shaker 500 or 1000(in my case) stereo
