Default jack stand positioning

Rather than take my 08 gt/cs in for an oil change, I'm going to DIY. I don't have ramps so I'd like to jack the front end up and use stands. Can someone help me with where to position the jack stands? I've done oil changes many times but not on this car or one that has such low ground clearance up front - any tips? thanks.

I jack from the front under the k member with a piece of wood on the jack. Jack stands on the reinforced frame rails.

use the jacking points on the frame/pinch point under the leading edge of the doors. your owners manual has a good diagram of the spot.

Thanks everyone - I got the job done by jacking at the lift points on the pdf link and used the jack stands for safety at the K member end. Good call on the use of scrap pieces wood to help protect and shim. I used a Ford racing filter and 6 qts of Motorcraft 5W-20 semi-synthetic (just like the owners manual says to use)

The only real issue I had was removing the old oil filter. When I bought the car they threw in 3 oil/filter changes to sweeten the deal and they all worked out fine, except - the dealership guys had the filter on EXTRA TIGHT. had to use the large Fram filter pliers with sawtooth jaws and long handles for leverage. Got it off without popping a hole in it and making a mess. Driveway is clean and engine has no leaks, I'm happy.

I drive up on step ramps that I put together with 2 X10s. I hate jacking up the front end on these S197s.

Nice, I like those ramps. Before my next oil change, I'm going to build some but I may need to get my car up another board or 2 higher. Not sure that only an extra 4.5" clearance will allow for my fat *** to scoot under there. Rather than trying to go faster by installing light weight components, maybe I should go on a diet and lose about 25 lbs.; and i'd get a bonus - lower home made ramps will work for me. LOL

Nice ramps! Wish I could do that but my front splitter is about 3.75" off the ground. It would hit the second level of boards
