Question New FRRP Intake Manifold without heads?

Think it would be a good idea with my mods or do you think I'd pretty much lose as much bottom end as I would gain top end?

Opinions on what it would do and whether or not it's a good idea?
Nope I'm not going F.I. either.

I don't think the gains would justify the cost. I want one, but more for the bling factor at car shows

I didn't think so.
Figured I would lose a chunk down under too.

More things added isn't always better.
As for bling factor, I believe I'm gonna get a custom painted plenum cover.
I'm really liking this one so far...

As much as I would like to see someone put one of these on a bolt-on N/A gt and have it dyno'd, I suspect that the low end torque loss is greater than the top end HP gain. Although, with the cams and headers, the top end should be getting pretty exciting. Maybe without heads, you can keep the air velocity into the cylinders high enough to not experience the low end loss that I have with the p&p'd heads....

Unless you are going to build the motor, my advice would be the same that I have for aftermarket heads: Wait until you build the motor. The CMDP's are going to give nearly the same top end gains without quite as much low end torque loss.

Trick question, the head ports can be stock but the intake is totally useless without atleast some extra lift from a nice set of cams.

Well as you can tell in my list I have the Hot Rod Cams, but I have read a test with the hot rods where low end was lost and about 5hp over what was lost was made up for it on the top end.

NOT my cup of tea nor my kind of trade in power. Especially for the cash.

I promised myself to stay away from the performance mods for a while anyways and enjoy what I have now that I had that summer of problems and got it all worked out finally.

Im just gonna do some show mods for a while and take a break.

How do you guys think that plenum cover I posted up there would look on my car?
Problem is that the company Southernmustangparts, wont answer there phone despite me leaving call back number and a message for the past two days.... not a very good sign of quality customer service....

My point exactly the Hot Rods are great choice for more aggressive then stock cam but it's still a Jack of all trades master of none cam. A good set all motor cams would net more power if you're planning on staying N/A with the intake.
