Default Need help 4.0l vortech canned tune.

I've put 30,000 miles on my car as of today since the install of my vortech sc. Had to pull out the predator to change the wheel size from 780 to 820 revs per mile, just got some new wheels. Was going over specificaions and discovered that the canned tune spark advance was all the way advanced! Then looked at the air fuel both all the way lean!!! Wth I said to myself. Has any one else noticed this with their canned tunes?

Any suggestions at what my settings should be at for a stock 4.0l with vortech?

Pls help it's my daily driver.

Get a custom tune instead.

Where can I find a custom tune? I figure worst case I could go get a dyne tune. If I had a wide band a/f I'd be comfortable with tuning it myself. Bust considering i've haven't heard pings or knocks and if it's been truly running lean I'm totally baffeled.

I think American Muscle (www.americanmuscle.com) does tunes for the Diablo. Otherwise find a shop near you.

I wouldn't ever run a canned tune especially not with a supercharger but that's just me.

Just a little FYI this is the 4.6/5.0L GT section.
Might get better responses in the correct section!

And if I was running a supercharger I would DEFINITELY have a custom dyno tune
unless I had a ROUSH M90 where you send them your PCM to be programmed.

Yep, custom tune is a must. When I go FI I'm still gonna have it put on the dyno to see where it is. At the very least you need to have a wideband AFR gauge.

Custom tune; contact Justin at vmptuning.com. He's tuned a lot of 4.0L vortech'd charged systems, including the setup I had when I had a 4.0L with vortech.
