Default Car now repaired after being damaged by uninsured driver but it wont start!

Hi All, finally got my 2008 GT repaired after it was almost totaled by an unisured driver(still waiting for him to pay me of course). Problem is car cranks over, but won't fire!

I seem to have fuel coming in as I can smell it, but it seems to be lacking a spark!

Any ideas what could be the problem?

First I'll start with welcome to MF and "OUCH!!!" That accident must've hurt to the soul, especially since you are waiting for the uninsured to pay for it...

Second, have you checked the inertia fuel shutoff? Did the car start at all after the accident? You say is seems to be lacking a spark, but how are you checking to see if you are getting a spark? Are all of your COPs firmly attached to the plugs? Who's doing the repairs (you/shop/friend)? That last one, I'm just curious.

A related question, did you take any before/after pics of the carnage? You know what they say,

LOL.... I'll fill in the blank questions...

Q1. Where do I find information on the inertia switch...
Q2. Where do I find the OM...
Q3. What if I don't have an OM...

That one put a grin on my face. Thanks 157db...

almost totaled.. I'm assuming you took it to a body shop?

If it was taken to the body shop, they never tried to start it?
Like mentioned, check the fuel cut off switch or the battery might be dead. This post doesn't make any sense beyond that.

If it's not the fuel cut-off switch AND IF a Ford shop did the repair, ask them if they reflashed the PCM. That could also cause a no-start.

Hi, all tried the cut out switch and all seems ok there. Car seems to have fuel but no spark. Car was taken to bodyshop to be panelled and painted, but due to lack of mechanical parts in the UK, car could not be finished and I am doing the mechanics and finishing myself. Didn't take any photos as I am trying to forget it ever happened! Thanks for your help guys!
