I poured through my owner's manual, and I could not find a thing that mentions fuses that controlled the auto up/down window function.

Man, Ive tinted my windows a few times on my 2006 due to inspection and broken window. Never had an issue. I tinted it on my 2010, No problems. I suggest you go to a better tint shop, because they don't know what they are talking about.

Jeez...No, you can't disable it. Even if you could/do, why would you? You know, they go up and down for a reason.

Here, try this little experiment. Shut the door with the window up, unhook the battery, and try to open the door without busting the window.

you can do it without busting the window...... i had to when my altenator died but it scared the hell outta me everytime i tried to open it and closing it was even worse..... dont do it, i havent had any problems with my tint other than the scratching from the weather strip which is a must before tinting unless you want to have to retint your windows.

For reals guys. Who has the part # for that weather stripping to replace the moleskin with? I can't figure out what it is on Tousley's website.

I can't believe it's $65 everywhere. That's nuts. Models will be wearing it on runways. It will be the new "fur coats".

At that price it might be worth more than gold. Are you serious??

Weird... I just searched and I KNOW I have listed the P/Ns for these on atleast 2 different occations, but I cannot come up with anything, even using google and the "site:mustangforums.com" trick... I noticed a while back several posts of mine had disappeared, but it looks like it has happened again. Not trying to thread jack, but does anyone know why this would happen?

Back OT, just call Steve at Tousley and they will know what you are looking for. It is called a "Belt with Strip" on their website. I only paid about $40 for the set when I got mine, but looks like pricing has gone up a couple bucks.

relying on 'google' to find your info once
had at your fingertips just to be buried
on a mustang forums sites server

Thats because there is not a "short drop" fuse persay.
The motor logic for the 'short drop' is contained inside
the door mounted on the window motor assembly.
You can pull the power window fuse but you would
have to do this with the door closed for the window
to be fully up when removing the power from it. Then
you would have to open the door without the 'short
drop' feature. Thats not good.
The ink pen latching the latch trick is the only way to go.
I do it when I am just cleaning my windows so as to get
all the visable glass when the door is closed as opposed
to when it is 'short dropped' when open.

Thanks for the part # dude. I appreciate it.

I refuse to pay $65 for some felt weatherstripping. I'd rather deal with the ****ty moleskin I have now than take it up the *** like that. I will see if Tousley can cut me a better deal.
