Just saw this thread. About 99% of the guys on this forum have only done cai and tune on their cars so they were just telling you what they would of done if they were in your situation. There are more technical forums directed at s197 cars out there.
Smart move going with the autolites. Not changing the fuel contaminated oil could of cost you a motor, good thinking. FWIW autolite or frpp plugs can be gapped with a spark plug socket, vise, and anything round like the shaft of a screwdriver. Just put the plugs in the socket and the socket in a vise with the round object inbetween the other vise jaw and spark plug electrode. You only get one shot at getting the gap right and there will be a little bit of spring back so use a .030 gauge to get .032.

I would steer clear of brisk for a daily driver. They have been known to last only a few 1,000 miles.
You said there was fuel in the oil, but those plugs don't look wet. How do you know there is a significant amount of fuel in the oil? Oil smells of gas, especially if you drive a boosted car and do a few wot runs before shut down. There is always going to be some blow by. If you can't light it on fire with a match, then it's not a problem.
Even my wifes car has a fuel smell to the oil.
