Default Engine Flushing!! And spring tune up?

Spring is coming and on the list for the spring tune up is an egine flush.

Most bottles of "Engine Flush" say "DO NOT USE ON TURBOCHARGED VEHICLES". Rightfully so, the chemicals will eat at the oil/water seals in the CHRA housing. I'm apprehensive still though about using anything like that for my engine on the stang w/a roots style blower. Or using "over the counter" type solutions of any sort. I know the best tried and true method is just haul the block out and hot tank everything. However, I don't want to do that.

Any results from people trying the engine flushes from auto stores?

On the list for the spring tune up is (in order of importance and first):
  1. Clutch replacement (centerforce dual friction)
  2. KenneBell S/C Belt replacement
  3. Plugs (FRPP 16mm "cold" plugs)
  4. Engine Flush
  5. Brakes (front pads/rotors)
  6. possible S/S brake lines (front only)
  7. coolant flush
  8. body work (dents, dings and buffing)

am I forgetting anything?

No gains on a NA S197. There are minor gains if you're FI.

Some folks claim their engines run smoother but there have also been issues with aftermarket COPs. Put your money into tried-and-true performance mods.

Stick with the stock coils. They are good for way more HP than most people will ever throw at their vehicle and they are far more reliable than most aftermarket coils. I made the mistake of trying Granatelli COPs and they are crap.

I had accel, they started out awsome gained .5mpg engine ran a bit smoother for about 6 months. Car started running like crap, lost about 3.5mpg changed back to stock all is well for over a year now. I have considered the msd's but the stockers are running fine and I dislike the idea of possibly wasting more money on CoP's that may or may not last more than 12 months.
