I just switched to 87P from 91R. Gas up here is over 6 bucks a gallon for regular gas. Too much for me to handle as a daily driver.

FWIW I have been running a brenspeed 93 tune and wouldnt care if gas was 7 bucks a gallon I would never go back to stock or anywhere close. You dont buy mustangs for the gas mileage,You buy them to rip gears, burn tires and **** off little hondas with fart cans who think they run 12's in the 1/4.

If you don't USE the power, then switching to a custom 87 tune won't be that big of a deal. But consider this: You spent roughly $500-$700 for a CAI & tune for what? Power, period. In the scheme of things, an extra, say, 20 cents/gallon for, say again, 16 gallons/week = $3.20 a week more (yeah, yea, some of you pay more and use more). Have you ever figured out how much per week you'd save if you:
  1. ...stopped buying coffee at Starbucks and brewed your own?
  2. ...packed a sandwhich for lunch instead of that Happy Meal or the expensive cafeteria?
  3. ...drank water instead of soda or whatever you're paying for?
  4. ...walked or rode a bike to get that gallon of milk 1/2 mile away instead of driving?
  5. ...combined your errands into 1 or 2 trips/week instead of 4 or 6?
I'm sure you could come up with dozens of ways to put (at least) $3.20/week aside for gas instead of other ridiculous things.

Thats a good way to put it . If you think of all the misc stuff people buy like the paper, gum, lunch, happy hour or coke. 3 - 5 dollars is not much more considering the benifits. Back to 91 Race for me I guess. As soon as i fix my water leak issue that is. haha
