Default Diff between Redline Tuning Quicklift Elite and Plus

Does anyone know what the difference would be aside from finish/colour (i.e. black vs stainless)?

Is it worth the price diff of $35 to get the Elite?

Would Redline be a good choice for hood struts?

Default Redline Tuning Elites

I had Redline Elites on a 2000 Mustang and my present 2006 GT 'vert. I also put them on my wife's 2008 Mazda Miata. My son installed them on his 2004 Mustang GT. They make a great product.

I like the fact the Eliets are stainless steel. I think there other advantages with the Eliets, but I don't remember what they are.

I have the Elites so I can't speak for the Plus. I will say that the Redline Elites are the best hood struts I've used. I had two other struts and neither lasted over a year with the heavy fiberglass hood that I have. If your always under the hood like I am, then I recommend the Elites.

Is it easy to install and drill the holes?

Yes, and Redline's install instructions are very well done. Just make sure to apply the Journeyman rule - "measure twice - cut(drill) once".

It's not a bad instasll. Just take your time & read & understand the instructions before you start. Redline Elites are a great product that you will enjoy.

Another fellow has recommended that I try the CPC (NXT) kit which requires no drilling and can have it painted to match your car.

Has anyone used this kit before and if so, how do you find it?
