Default Which year model to get?

After killing my last stang (04 40th anniv. edition GT vert), I've decided to try to get back in the game. Are there any years to watch out for? On my budget I'll probably only be able to get something '08 and below. Thanks in advance for any help.

Also, for the curious.

08's have tranny issues for some reason and 05 -06's have too many annoying TSB's such as fuel pump's, water leaks etc... 07's and 09's seem to be the most "annoyance" free of the 1st gen's

An '07 would be right down my alley price wise. I wish I could get a 5.0, but it's not in the cards now. Any other opinions?

On the tranny issues, is it mainly manual or automatic? I'll definitely be getting a manual.

05 through 1st half of 08 uses 2-piece spark plugs which are known for getting stuck in the heads and a real PIA to remove - about as bad as removing a bolt with the bolt head broken off.

Find a 2nd half 08. You can search or google for how to identify a 2nd half 08, but I'm pretty sure the COP's are brown instead of black.

The 2nd half 08 and newer changed the head design for the spark plugs. Not only do they use 1-piece spark plugs, but the bottom half of the plugs (where the threads are) are smaller in diameter.
