Engine Bay Pics!!!! Let's see them
Just recently been obsessed with keeping my engine bay clean and tighty and rid of dirt, grime and grease. Here's the latest shot of my engine. Let's see everyone's else's engine as well. Also, if you have any tips on how to clean and maintain the engine bay cleanliness, and where to get the best dress up assecories, that would be great!!! Enjoy

Griots makes an engine cleaner that is a miracle worker! Spray on, let it sit for 30 seconds, hose off. Everything looks brand spanking new!
Phone photo. PS I did not use any cleaner before this shot. This was taken to show someone something:

I think I've kept mine looking pretty good, albeit it's only been around a year but I try to keep on top of detailing the underhood paint as well as the plastic surfaces. I just need to get around to buying a hood strut kit.

Engine bay pic from couple of years back. Doesn't get any cleaner or tidier. While everything was out, bay was painted black/red to match black/red exterior two tone.

I gotta get around to getting my hood strut kit too as well as a new radiator cover with extensions and a Plenum cover.

i do mine the old fasioned way...with a rag in my hand. its not my DD.
keeping on top of the detailing makes it easier.
for my 2000 GT, my DD, i let the engine warm up just a bit before i use either simple green for painted surfaces and hoses and places where i cant reach with my hand, engine degreaser or engine bright for engine parts.
i always wipe what i can reach to get the dirt and grime off.
i let the simple green, or degreaser/engine brite soak in for 5-10 minutes.
wipe and spray again if necessary.
spray off any excess cleaners with some light water.
then i start the engine and let the heat dry it off, or i use my vac/blower to blow it dry.
then i wipe again to get off any water spots, and dress the plastic and hoses with either F21 spray or plastic/interior dressing.
i dont really like it super shiny, but just really clean.
i never spray any wires or electric parts or air filter. i catch those areas with my hands and the rag.
the #1 engine detailing tip is do it often. makes life easier.
