No wax on the lid, but no, I did not use any promoter. These are the only 2 places that arent touching though. The rest is (adhesing?) fine. I guess my main concern is the fact that the front side looks a bit wavy now. I suppose that could just be an illusion though; I'm not sure...

Bought the GT500 from the spoiler store. Paint was great, delivery and price can't be beat. One problem: one of the mounting holes was slightly OFF. I had to enlarge the hole on my deck lid slightly to get the one hole to line up.

Still no email back from them yet. I'm toying with the idea of removing it again and reinstalling it. Yall think its worth it, or should I wait for them? If I do redo it, what is everything I need to do it?

If you do it you will need a roll oof 3m emblem tape and adhesion promoter. They make one that comes in a little package. Its like a towelette.

Cool, I figured I'd need that. They make a wider version also I believe, would that be better/worse? What else would I need to do prep-wise? Is is a bad I dea to use the adhesive remover to get the old tape off if I'm going to be trying to stick another piece on? Also, adhesion promoter - what kind? Once I get it on, what's a best practice for getting it to stick? Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to miss any steps if I try and do this again. I appreciate all of the feedback guys.

When i first did it, i removed the gt wing, used some aircraft decal remover spray to get the glue and all adhesive off, stripped the wax from the deck lid, then used the adhesion promoter that i had from a previous exterior mod. I then followed the instructions they provided for installing the wing. I havent had any issues with mine. Finally found it,

I hope all of this helps. You can use the wider tape if you like. I wouldnt use any wider than 1/2 inch. If you ever decide to remove it clean up will be a pain.

The tape was already on the spoiler when i got mine, it was new. I used it on the car where the tape was going to sit.

I take it the parts that aren't sticking are the far sides of the spoiler? (At work so can't see pics if you posted any.) If you didn't drill the additional two holes in your trunk lid to pull down the sides of the spoiler, it will never sit 100% flush. For me, I didn't want to drill holes and the the gap is so small that no one has ever noticed it.
