Default Check Engine Light

About a month ago I:

-revved the engine on a cold start, then the check engine light came on
-cleared the code, which was P0153, and it never came back on

Since the check engine light has not turned on again, is it safe to assume that the car is fine? BTW, I have about 50k miles on it.

slow response code for the front O2 sensors. But since it went away I suspect it was simply a minor anomaly. I wouldn't worry about it unless it returns, providing you haven't touched your cats and O2 sensors.

no, nobody's touched anything in front of the h-pipe. I did, however, take a look to see where the bank 2 sensor 1 is located (driver's side on the manifold). if/when it goes out, how would I go about replacing it? it's in a horrendous location.

You dont' need to replace it. It threw the light because the sensor wasn't heated up yet thus the slow response. Unless it does this after it's warmed up or all the time when cold I'd forget about it.

I wouldn't just because all the oil is still in the pan.

I've gotten that code 3 times in the last year since I put my long tubes on doing basically same thing which would be starting to drive before HO2S where at proper temp.

the only thing that concerns me is that my gas mileage has decreased (not that I drive a mustang for it's mpg rating). the thing is, lower mpg sometimes means something isn't working properly.
