Default NEED HELP ASAP...WATER!

Ok I'm in New Jersey and it's currently pouring rain. Last time after it rained my car smelled horrible. Thought nothing of it jsut sprayed some scent and cleaned it real well and everything went away. It's pouring now and I noticed water dripping into the footwell on the passenger side! I looked where it's coming from and saw behind the glove box is what looks like a plastic box almost? there is water slowly dripping down onto the rug. Put plastic down so I don't get mold but WTF is that box, why is it leaking, and how do I fix it?! THanks for any quick responses

Sounds like you have the dreaded "water leak". Search that on the main 05-11 forum and you will get alot of results on what it is and how to fix it.

If he can see it dripping in, then it may NOT be the nasty leak that causes the SJB to corrode. It sounds like his leak is due to the clogged drain grommets and the water is backing up and entering thru the cabin air filter. If so, that's easy to unclog and it's just a nuisance. You need to pull the access door off of the passenger kick panel and feel above the SJB for any moisture. If so, then you may also have the chronic, dreaded leak described in the water leak TSB that MustangFirstCar mentioned.

Yea, search water leak for the many possable causes and fixes
If this is the first time and its raining cats and dogs,
check them cowl drains and clean them.
Then dry that puppy out and disconnect the battery
to prevent SJB corrosion until it it 100% dry inside.
