Default Oil separator?

Yesterday I took off my PCV line because there was some grime on the valve cover and I was wiping stuff down. There was a good bit of oil in the line. Think it would be beneficial for me to get an oil separator? I try to keep all my maintenance perfect, I plan on keeping my car for a long time.

I run a oil seperator on my 06 "supercharged" (must have) and I also have one on my 93 sedan 331 NA. Ever since putting one on I have not had to clean the IAC or the throttle body. It would make sense to have just "air" going through the intake track and not airated oil that will eventually gum everything up.

I would recommend putting on any car.

My thinking exactly. Should I pay for one off eBay or a mustang vendor, or fashion one myself cheaper? Can you find separators at a hardware store since some machineries have them?

I put one on my car a while ago. And while mine doesn't seem to catch everything (there still seems to be some making it by) it does gather quite a bit. Overall, definitely worth $100.

You can make your own using compressed air filters from home depot or lowes, just make sure the drain closes all the way and does not leak air.
I've used several separators that way.

Regardless, keep that oil out.

Dont spend the cash on the premade ones except the jlt one, its a quality piece. But if you want to save a few bucks, just go to lowes and buy the parts and splice it in. Its really easy.

The best units I've come across are those by Moroso and Stef's, but you will pay for them. I run a Moroso in my car.

I run the JTL in my 5.0 and it collects a grip of oil... definitely worth it.
