Default BUYING 05-09 Mustang Help

Ok diving in and buying a 05 to 09 Mustang I have over 30 on my watch list on autotrade that are under 10,000 miles and are black or silver and stick.
With so many different models out there which ones should I look at and which ones should I stay away from.
For example If a Bullitt and GT Premium are priced the same whats the better
deal.
Also I plan on modding the car with a Saleen supercharger an possibly the super shaker so I won't be keeping it original.
What kind of changes occurred between 05 and 09 and whats the differance
between a GT premium and GT deluxe.
I will be looking at about 5 this weekend thanks.

Here's a few quick things that come mind.

05-06 models do not have seat airbags and no tire pressure monitors.
Late '08 + models have the newer head design that uses a 1 piece spark plug. The previous version can get seized in the head and break off, making plug changes a real PITA.

If you are set on going with a Supershaker, look for a car with no hood scoop as the hood hole for the shaker will not cover the OEM scoop attachment holes.

The Bullitt is a nice platform as it has GT500 seats (without the logo), which includes the bigger side bolsters and comes without a spoiler or hood scoop. It also has unique suspensions (slightly better than stock) along with a special exhaust h-pipe and mufflers. It is a very clean looking car.

There are various other options that changed as the model progressed including interior options like mycolor and ambient lighting.

Good luck!

The major thing that jumps to mind when reading your post is this...
05-06 are first year productions of the s197 and are most likely to have design bug's that were corrected over the course of time (spark plug issues as an example). I would rule out those years and concentrate on 07 and up in my selection for this reason.
Good-luck and happy shopping

Thanks for the reply's I ask because there is an 05 silver gt with 2000 miles that I like that is unde 20,000 and a Bullitt just over 20,000. I am also going to look at a 09 GT.
Also some of the ads say black interior but it doesn't really look black more like a dark gray or charcoal is there a real black interior or is it just the lighting in the pics that I see.
Thanks I am sure after I see these cars up close I will have a few more questions.

I have approx. 90000Miles on my 06 GT and have had no issues. My plugs were changed easily and the car runs perfect and strong, only thing I have had to fix was a power window switch was replaced on warranty. I wouldn't be afraid of the 06's as crap can happen to any year and model of vehicle.

Don't rush into it. And be careful with the dealers. Took me about 6 weeks but I finally found a very nice car at the right price through a private party.
