Default What fluid are you running in your 5 Speed?

I am wanting to change the fluid (Mercon V) in my transmission. Was thinking of going with Amsoil Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF. Anybody got any advice or pointers on this?

Amsoil is a fantastic option. I've heard very good things both about it and Royal Purple. I've personally had great experience with Pennzoil Synchromesh along with Redline D4 ATF. Take your pic.

For what it's worth, my transmission felt horrible with the Mobil 1 ATF fluid in it.

I should also add I'm currently running D4 with no issues, though I think I liked the Pennzoil just a little better.

I may go with the Royal Purple due to the parts store having that locally. So does RP and Amsoil pretty much make only one type of synthetic atf that will work in many makes and models? I'm assuming that as long as it says Mercon V on it, I should be good. Thanks for the tips guys.

Royal purple recommends their synchromax for our manual transmissions. It was designed for manual transmissions. I believe they also make a synthetic ATF fluid.

I've been using RP synchromax for years.
